Frequently Asked Questions

Does PRO-pHx eliminate the need to dispose of acid?

No. PRO-pHx reduces how often acid must be disposed of by extending usable bath life. All acid systems eventually require disposal.

Does PRO-pHx require equipment changes or downtime?

No. PRO-pHx integrates into existing systems and is evaluated during normal operation.

Is PRO-pHx a filtration or metal recovery system?

No. PRO-pHx is a chemical additive, not a mechanical separation system.

How do facilities determine if PRO-pHx is a good fit?

Most begin with a review of one acid system and historical data, often followed by a limited pilot.

Which acids can PRO-pHx be used with?

PRO-pHx is compatible with most industrial acids, including Hydrochloric, Nitric, Phosphoric, Sulfuric, and their common blends. It also works with dry acid salts following recommended dosing.

Which metals does PRO-pHx control?

PRO-pHx helps manage the buildup of metals such as Aluminum, Cadmium, Chromium, Iron, Nickel, Zinc, and many others that can drive premature disposal of acid baths.

How is PRO-pHx applied?

PRO-pHx is added at approximately 1% of total tank volume for both liquid acids and dry salt additions. This ensures consistent control without altering your normal acid processes.
